What does it mean to be a Walmart Wireless Sales Pro?

Walmart strives to deliver fantastic service and value for its customers. And customer service expectations have never been higher.

Wireless Sales Pros are the go-to experts within the Walmart store, closing sales through hustle, creativity and problem-solving.

Some of the core job responsibilities of Wireless Sales Pros include:

  • Meet or exceed sales goals by executing new phone sales, upgrades and accessory bundling.
  • Customize product or service recommendations for customers.
  • Teach customers how to enjoy their new products through successful setup and activation.

Do I need to be a wireless expert?

The short answer is no. We look for team members who exemplify the Premium brand – creativity, integrity and a desire to exceed expectations. Having prior sales experience or existing knowledge of the wireless category is not mandatory, but Sales Pros must be driven to learn as they go.

To help you succeed, Sales Pros spend their first two days training alongside a Sales Manager in the store. Premium also provides Walmart certification and product/service training through our online portal.

What does it take to be successful?

Sales often come from intercepting Walmart shoppers who may not be looking for a phone. Team members must be high-energy go-getters that enjoy starting conversations with shoppers.

Our most successful Wireless Sales Pros are highly self-motivated and have a strong desire to excel in an uncapped commission sales environment. Sales Pros are assertive, have big personalities, and are hungry for the next sale, rather than standing behind the counter waiting for customers to approach.

Is there opportunity for growth?

At Premium, we pride ourselves on a high rate of promotion from within. Part-time Sales Pros routinely promote into full-time roles based on availability. Many Sales Pros have been promoted into Sales Manager roles where they oversee reps across three to four store locations. Sales Managers can grow into managing a territory of stores in District Manager roles.

You will have the opportunity to apply for our 12-week Leadership Development Program where Wireless Pros and Sales Managers learn to implement the skills necessary for promotion. Participants work alongside business leaders to experience a well-rounded view of career development at Premium.

What are the hours?

As a Sales Pro, you’re assigned to a home store location. Evening and weekend hours are expected, but we provide flexibility to modify your schedule within store hours. Depending on the day, Sales Pros are on their feet for 6-10-hour shifts.

Walmart Wireless locations are open 7 days a week:

  • Monday-Wednesday, 11 AM – 7 PM
  • Thursday-Saturday, 10 AM – 8 PM
  • Sunday, 12 PM – 6 PM

Is there a dress code?

While inside the store, team members wear a Premium polo shirt, name badge, black or khaki pants and closed-toed shoes.
