Over two weeks, Premium’s Level 2 merchandising team installed new Smart Home product displays across 900 Best Buy stores. Premium received global recognition from our client after completing the execution.
Premium deployed teams across the U.S. to execute 900 complex installations within an aggressive window of execution. Due to the size and scale of this display, it required a Premium team of four in each store.
Consumers expect in-store technology to function perfectly, whether they’re interacting with a touch screen or giving the product a test drive. As stores become more experiential, display installations often require expertise in construction and technical wiring. Premium’s Level 2 merchandising team specializes in installing these types of displays across product categories including Home Entertainment, Smart Home, Security, Computing and Cellular.
The Premium team drilled and assembled the smart home display along with completing advanced wiring, requiring over six hours per store. To add further complexity, the 900 stores were scattered across all 50 states and installations needed to occur within a two-week timeline to ensure brand consistency across stores.
Quality assurance measures were administered during a six-month planning period leading up to install. To ensure spectacular execution, we completed time studies and wrote extensive instructions. Our National Logistics & Distribution Center (NLDC) prepared tools and parts for shipment to store. Chat support amongst the experienced tech team helped troubleshoot and share best practices during execution.
Since the initial install, Premium has continued to perform maintenance on the displays. Services include QA audits, new device installs, graphics replacement and product down stocking.
